Thanks for you comment on my MADE blog. Carseat covers aren't very hard to make. I really just took apart my old one and used that as the pattern.
You'll need about 1 yard of cute fabric for the front of the cover, 1 yard for the back, some quilt batting, and 2 packages of 1/2 inch double-fold bias tape for the edges (that will be enough for the canopy too).
For the canopy, you'll need about 3/4 of a yard. Just look at how yours was made and try to mimic it.
